Las Vegas, 15 October 2014

GainingEdge recently completed a feasibility study for Ministry of Tourism of The State of Mexico for a purpose built international standard convention centre in Toluca. This is part of the Ministry’s promotion and development strategy focused on four specific locations: Toluca, Valle de Bravo, Ixtapan de le Sal and Teotihuacan. The development of these destinations are meant to complement one another and provide greater competitiveness to the State of Mexico.

The study reported that some 4,488 meetings were held with corporate events at 40% of total, 28% being trade shows and exhibitions, 16% congress and conventions, 9% seminars and incentive events occupying 7% of the total.

The Ministry held a press conference at IMEX America on 15 October 2014 to announce its conventions brand. Please see attached destination information from the State of Mexico’s Ministry of Tourism.
