ICCA Education Fund

The objective of the ICCA Education Fund, previously known as Ernst Stock Fund is to create educational opportunities for Young Meetings Professionals, thereby helping to raise the professional standards in the international meetings industry.

African Society of Association Executives (AfSAE)

AfSAE was established and constituted in February 2015, has since set up its HQ office in Johannesburg. Association executives in Africa have come together to form a continent-wide society aimed at raising the profile of member-based organisations and improving skills in the sector.

IMEX Wild Card programme

The IMEX Wild Card program offers aspiring entrants into the international meetings market the chance to exhibit free of charge alongside established destinations and other participants. In a change from the usual, this year’s winners will also benefit from a brand new support package, provided by specialist business events consultancy, GainingEdge.

We are pleased to be given the opportunity to support to these destination marketing organisations (DMOs) on their first international trade event at IMEX Frankfurt. Our pro-bono support included advice and guidance pre-IMEX, on-site and post-IMEX:

  • Wild Card Exhibitors Preparation for Group Appointments:
    We assisted the Wild Cards to tailor an outstanding presentation and prepare hand-outs/give-aways
  • Individual appointments:
    We supported the Wild Cards to use pre-show guide to buyers, contact properly buyers with appointments and create additional diary
  • MEDIA:
    We helped the Wild Cards to be more effective and create media value.

GainingLeads

This leads exchange session, now in its 6th year, is one of our most popular industry events offered at no registration fee to convention bureaus by invitation. Essentially, it is the exchange of bid requirements information of international association conventions. This session, held during IMEX Frankfurt, is especially useful for convention bureaus looking for more potential association conventions business through the exchange of leads by a past host/recently won bidder.

GainingEdge Knowledge Exchange

These one-hour sessions, at no charge, take place during IMEX Frankfurt and ICCA Congress. The small and interactive session for convention bureaus, centres and convention teams active in the international meetings market, is hugely popular with volunteer discussion leaders from both sides of the table.

Business Events Clinics

We offer free consultations “clinic-style” for bureaus who want to improve their performance in the international meetings market. These clinics take place during selected trade events and during the annual ICCA Congress.
