GainingEdge was engaged in 2015 in the “Japan Global MICE Cities” Project which was both a review and training project for selected city convention bureaus. It involved a comprehensive city and bureau review, and recommendations for interim action plans to address some of the gaps in the short term. The Convention Bureaus were also provided training to raise their capabilities in the international marketplace.
GainingEdge also prepared a market report in 2013 with insights into the international association meeting trends and how destinations are selected to host congresses. The report helped JTA identify key considerations for Japanese cities to become competitive convention cities on the global front.
